PTFE is also referred to as DuPont’s Teflon®, PTFE is a kindof thermoplastic fluoropolymer that consists of Carbon and Fluorine. This structure allows PTFE to be non-reactive to almost all chemicals and applied to severe chemical environments. PTFE is ideal for low cycle life applications.

3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE TFM1600 - TFM1600 is a modified version of PTFE that maintains the exceptional chemical and heat resistance properties of PTFE, but has a significantly lower melt viscosity. TFM™-1600 has a lower coefficient of friction that provides better creep resistance than PTFE.

TFM1600 Features:

  • Very good free-flowing properties

  • Improved particle coalescence

  • Dense polymer structure with reduced void content

  • Nízká propustnost

  • Substantially lower deformation under load (“cold flow”)

  • Good electrical and mechanical properties

  • Increased modulus of elasticity

  • Dobrá svařitelnost

  • Vynikající chemická inertnost

  • Low friction behaviour

TFM 1600, is a kind of hot sealing material which used for industry valves. It is a modified PTFE that maintains the exceptional chemical and heat resistance properties of conventional PTFE, but has a lower melt viscosity. Offers the advantage of smoother surfaces, reduce deformation under load
